Sea Quest in harbour
I feel that this oil on plywood panel captures the feeling of my maritime environment. It's a realistic ,yet impressionistic approach all in one. It just has a peaceful feeling to it that I'm happy to have captured.

Norfolk county barn in early spring
Done on wooden panel some time ago. Better with age,...right?

Bird's nest on blue background
find that the organics inherent in the weaving of these nests affords me an outlet to best display an interpretation that is not only a representation but an impression of what I'm viewing from an abstract approach.
This was on display at The Gables in St. Andrews and purchased last summer.

Promotion poster for our show in Mexico
This is the poster that was used last winter when we were invited to show at The Turbina Gallery in Tepoztlan. They did a commendable design job. I particularly like the blue trawler image! We'll be showing a few pieces at the annual literary festival down there this year as well. The paintings (some newer) are currently in a group show travelling about that country. Last I heard they were at the Mexican embassy.

Dufour's mill in winter
This subject has always intrigued me. It has a ghostly, calm quality in winter that is both peaceful and therapeutic. I'm sure John, the owner finds it anything but calm and peaceful but I'm not pumping out hundreds of bundles of cedar shakes each day either.John is now retired,..too bad, I loved this spot!
Dufour's mill in winter(Sold)

Still life with sky

Hi folks. This a shot of my not so tidy studio but I love it. Sits right by the ocean on Passamaquoddy Bay here in New Brunswick.
The Maria Carmel
Day trip in Spain resulted in my painting this little trawler at a seaside town. This village was closed for the winter but so were all of the tourist areas. Just like Saint Andrews!
Skiff in Saint Andrews harbour
This oil sketch was created from one of my digital shots down by the wharf here in town. It's about two feet by three and is oil on prepared masonite. It sold this past summer to a couple from Fredericton,..I believe.

Saint John Arts Center mailer

Bermuda blockhouse in St. Georges
The first painting I did was beside the national trust building where we stayed during my Artist in Residencency in Bermuda. The owner Faith,(her name escapes me as I write this text), bought it and one other of an old Inn that she purchased while I was there. No image of that one. I'm really organized!

Floras
I guess we could call these wall flowers. The real name escapes me. Trumpet flowers, perhaps? Painted in Mexico and now on display at The Cobalt Gallery in Saint John,N.B.
Central Floral
I find sunflowers no end of inspiration. There's movement and colour variation throughout their life that I particularly find to be a pleasant challenge.
Twenty two Peel Street
This two tone house on Peel street at the foot of Dufferin in Toronto is now no more as the expansion of the Queen Street overpass gobbled it up. I shared a studio diagonally from this forlorn structure that had fascinated me for years. It seemed to have "architectural arthritis" as each year it slowly leaned a few degrees lower. I can certainly relate to this inescapable malady. Just had to get the image onto my canvas.
9x12"
Oil on masonite- $900.00
Lone dory 2016
Did a couple of these small 6x6 oils and sent one to Bermuda for a charity auction.

Another Bermuda studio product. living out in the ocean, seemed like the natural thing to do, was to paint fishies!

Maritime Maid
This beached sardine schooner was down on the Bar Road shore for several seasons. It looked sad and forelorn. I trust that I've captured this feeling on my panel.
